SURVIVAL RATING - OUTSTANDING

The Garmin Rino 120 is a state-of-the-art GPS navigation and two-way radio system combined into one rugged, reliable, waterproof unit. The Rino 120 is an outstanding Survival Radio.

Whatever your Survival Communications parameters might be, the Garmin Rino 120 can full-fill them. The Rino 120 can "beam" your EXACT location to another Rino user of FRS or GMRS channels using "Position Reporting." The Gamrin Rino 120 provides 2-Way Radio communications for up to two miles using FRS channels, and up to 5 miles using GMRS channels. And, you can talk to any other member of your group who has a conventional FRS/GRMS Radio. The Rino 210 also has a voice scramble and a vibration mode for silent calls. A very important feature for a Survival Radio.

The Rino 120 has a built-in base-map consisting of American road and highway detail, along with 8 MB of internal memory for downloading additional areas of interest (such as the topography in your Survival location). The Rino 120 also has a PC interface.
